Christian radio has really come into its own over the last decade with most stations airing contemporary Christian music of excellent quality.

Yet it was felt that not all ages groups were accommodated for with the regards to music. With this in mind, in 2000, "Heart and Soul Radio Ministries Australia" came to fill the gap for folk who wanted to enjoy the music of their youth, and also hear the good news of Jesus.

Therefore, the program aims to provide a softer type of music with a more traditional sound.
Just as importantly, the Rev. David Evans gives a short talk on relevant Christian teaching and everyday topics within each program. This we hope will be especially helpful for listeners who are unable to attend their local church on a regular basis.

Finally, the use of Australian voices on an entirely Australian produced program is a benefit to many Community radio stations.
